Available through Sunday, February 25, the exquisite afternoon tea service presents a menu of Asian-inspired sweet and savory delicacies handcrafted by the hotel’s talented culinary team and a fine selection of tea, in addition to a complimentary welcome toast featuring Champagne Lallier R.018.
Savory bites include a selection of dim sum including, Peking Duck, Xiao Long Bao, Har Gao, Chicken Potsticker, and Mushroom & Spinach Dumpling. The sweet menu includes Black Sesame Mochi Scone, Matcha Roll, Rose Water Choux, and Tropical Tart.
The St. Regis San Francisco exclusively sources its tea offerings from luxury tea blender TEALEAVES, and meticulous attention has been taken to curate unique tea blends to celebrate the Lunar New Year. The Lunar New Year-themed Art of Tea menu includes Pu-Erh Tou Cha, a loose-leaf black tea that is low in tannins and has a thick, smooth, earthy flavor, Imperial Dragonwell, one of the most famous Chinese green teas grown in the picturesque Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province of China, Organic Jasmine Pearl, a hand-rolled loose-leaf white tea, and Iron Goddess of Mercy, one of the most prized oolong teas rich in history and fable with an elegant, earthy flavor.
The Lunar New Year-themed version of The Art of Tea is available Thursday through Sunday now through February 25 from 2 to 4 pm in The St. Regis San Francisco Tea Salon by reservation only, at least 24 hours in advance. Reservations can be made on OpenTable. The Lunar New Year Signature Art of Tea is $150 per person. Guests can enhance The Art of Tea with sparkling wine or champagne by the bottle for an additional fee.
